The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given the CEO’s responsibilities to Hemang Amin. Amin has been appointed as the interim BCCI CEO after Rahul Johri’s resignation was accepted by the board.
Amin has been the COO of the Indian Premier League (IPL). “The right man for this charge. To be very honest his contribution to the BCCI has been miles ahead of Johri and he did the real work for most of the commercial deals of the BCCI,” a board functionary told IANS in praise of Amin.
Earlier, the BCCI has now asked Johri to step down immediately after the reports suggests that he has leaked some confidential financial information related to the team sponsorships.
