India spinner Harbhajan Singh had hit back at Shahid Afridi after the former Pakistan cricketer made controversial comments about Kashmir. Afridi made derogatory comments about the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also went on to say that he wanted to play his last PSL innings for the Kashmir team during his visit to POK.

Afridi’s comments though didn’t really go well with some Indian cricketers. After Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan too slammed the all-rounder. Bhajji bunltly said that he had crossed all the limits and the relations between the two cricketers are now ruined up. “I thought he was our friend but this not how a friend behaves. Ye badtameezi hai (It’s rude),” Bhajji said Harbhajan said on Sports Tak.

“Even our Prime Minister has said that Coronavirus is a fight that extends beyond borders, religions, and caste,” he added.

“But this man (Afridi) is talking ill about our country,” he said.

“He is no more my friend. Maybe he is eyeing a political career. But if so then he should do it at his own strength and not by abusing our PM and our country. If that is the way then I don’t think his political career will last long,” he added.

Harbhajan and Yuvraj Singh had earlier faced a backlash on social media for urging people to make donations for Shahid Afridi’s Foundation.

The two players have urged the public to play their role in the fight against COVID-19 by making donations for the SAFoundation and the gesture from the two cricketers hasn’t gone great with the common people.
