MS Dhoni’s contribution to Indian cricket is simply unparalleled. Dhoni as a skipper has led India to wins in the World T20, 50-over World Cup and Champions trophy becoming the only captain to have won all the three ICC trophies so far.

While Virat Kohli is leading the team presently and is doing a decent job at the helm, out-of-favor batsman Suresh Raina thinks that Rohit Sharma can be the next “next MS Dhoni”.

“I would say he is the next MS Dhoni for the Indian cricket team,” Raina said on The Super Over Podcast. “I have seen him, he is calm, he likes to listen.”

Rohit is a deputy of Kohli in the limited-overs format. “He thinks everyone is a captain. I have seen him; I have played under him when we won the Asia Cup in Bangladesh.”

Raina has played under Dhoni in Chennai Super Kings and was an important part of the team that lifted the 2011 World Cup.
