A day after Asghar Afghan was recalled to lead the sides across formats by the Afghanistan Cricket Board, former skipper Gulbadin Naib who led the team in World Cup 2019 made shocking statements.

In a series of tweets, Naib said that he would expose the ‘mafia circle’ involved in Afghanistan cricket.

Earlier, Naib said that the senior players in the side deliberately underperformed during the World Cup.

Some of the Afghan players including Rashid Khan expressed disappointment after Naib was appointed captain of the side. He tweeted, “With just months to go for such a mega event like World Cup, changing the captain will cause uncertainty and also team morale will be affected.”
