Former India opener Gautam Gambhir, who left the captaincy after the consistent defeat of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2018, is now thinking of owning the same team. According to media reports, Gautam Gambhir, the former opening batsman of Team India, may soon become a collaborator of the Delhi Capitals (DC) team.

JSW Sports and GMR Group hold 50% each in Delhi Capitals. According to ‘Times of India’ Gambhir has been talking about this for about two months and can buy a 10 per cent stake in Delhi Capitals, which is worth around Rs 100 crore.

JSW Sports had acquired a 50 per cent stake in the team last year for Rs 550 crore and after that, it changed the name of the team from Delhi Daredevils to Delhi Capitals. Sources have informed that the deal has been confirmed in this regard and now only waiting for approval from IPL Governing Council.

However, nothing has been said about this by Gautam Gambhir. The team of Delhi Capitals has made it clear that talks are going on in this regard and after completion of all the formalities, its information will be made public.
