Former England Spinner Monty Panesar Ready To Return To Cricket (Source: Twitter)

Former England spinner Monty Panesar, who was in the grip of depression for a long time, is preparing to enter the field once again after recovering from it. Panesar wants to play county cricket in England next season, while his future plans include becoming Mayor of London and working in a Bollywood film.

The 37-year-old cricketer, along with Graeme Swann, contributed to England’s memorable Test series win in India in 2012. After this, however, his career began to fall and he played his last Test match in 2013. Panesar’s mental health had deteriorated then but he was not ready to accept it.

All these issues hampered his career and ultimately, the 37-year-old ended up playing his last international game in December 2013. Apart from Glenn Maxwell, many cricketers have raised the issue of mental health in recent times.
