The teacher’s day was celebrated in the country on Saturday. The cricket fraternity too took to social media and posted messgaes for their teachers.

India captain Virat Kohli posted a message for his coach Rajkumar Sharma. ” teacher gives you many valuable lessons in your journey. Forever grateful for the ones I got from my coach mr rajkumar Sharma 🙌😇. Happy teacher’s day to all the teachers who’ve guided their students in their journeys,” Kohli wrote.

Kohli is presently in UAE for the upcoming IPL season. The right-handed batsman has been one of the most successful players in the modern era.

Kohli has been leading the Indian team for quite sometime now. India had a successful Tour Down Under while he was leading the side. India clinched the ODI series against South Africa away from home as well.

He has been a consistent performer for India with the bat. Kohli became the first Indian batsman to score a century on a World Cup debut while he also hold the record for the fastest ODI ton for the country.

He also became the first Indian batsman to score seven double centuries in Test cricket and has an average of over 50 across all formats. He has been a part of the Indian team in World Cup 2011 and Champions Trophy 2013.
