India A on Friday bowed out of the Deodhar trophy after suffering a second straight defeat against India C by 232 runs in Ranchi. Batting first, Shubman’s Gill side posted a mammoth 366/3 in 50 overs.

Gill alongwith opener Mayank Agwarwal notched up individual hundreds while a late surge from Suryakumar Yadav helped his team to score a record-breaking total. the right-handed batsman scored an unbeaten 29-ball 72 that included 9 fours and four maximums.

In reply, India A lost early wickets after seamers Dhawal Kulkarni and Ishan Porel reduced them to 17/3.
Devdutt Pallikal and Bhargav Merai did show some resistance but were eventually undone by Jalaj Saxena. The Hanuma Vihari-led side was bundled out for 134.

Jalaj Saxena emerged out to be the stand out performer for India C. He returned with figures of 7/41 in 9.5 overs.
