Shubman Gill’s India C continued their clean-sheet as they thumped India B by 136 runs in Deodhar Trophy in Ranchi on Saturday.
Batting first, India C rode on Axar Patel’s 98* and Virat Singh’s 76* to score a total of 280/5. In reply to this, India B batsmen faltered and were bundled out for 144.
Spinners Mayank Markande, Jalaj Saxena and Axar Patel shared 7 wickets among themselves. Both the teams though have qualified for the final scheduled to take place on Monday at the same venue.
Baba Aparajith top-scored for India B with 53.
