Ex Kiwi Captain Daniel Vettori ,was the youngest Kiwi,to make his Test debut in 1997,at the age of 18 as a spin bowling all-rounder.

He captained Newzealand with authority and Success from 2007 to 2011.He played in 113 Tests taking 362 Wickets and scoring 4531 runs and in 295 ODIs taking 305 wickets and Scoring 2253 runs.

He recently took up the appointment of Spin bowling coach for the Bangladesh National Team. His Coaching term was for a period of 100 days, and was supposed to run up to the end of the scheduled T/20 World cup in Australia later this year.

According to ESPN Cricinfo he is the highest paid member of the Bangladesh coaching staff,earning to the tune of USD 250,000.for his 100 day stint.

Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO,Nizammuddin Chaudhary,said “Vettori has officially requested to the BCB that a specific part of his Salary be donated to the lower income staffers of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, to ease their financial hardship being caused by Covid 19 Pandemic.”

The amount that the 41 year old Cricketer has decided to donate has not been disclosed. A gallant and praiseworthy gesture by a true Sportsman
