The covid 19 resulting lockdown has severely affected all forms of active and live sports activity.So much so only for the second time in History the Summer Olympic games have been postponed , the first time was due to the on going World
War.

During this testing times the sportspersons are facing a daunting task to remain fit in the absence of any form of sports
activity.The players are however taking it in the right spirit and are being innovative and effective.

Indian cricketers are keeping themselves fit by exercising within the confines of their homes,& following the customized player specific routines given by the strength and fitness coach Nick webb. This to ensure they remain match fit and in top shape despite the pandemic induced break in sports activities.

Virat Kohli the Indian cricket team captain is fast acquiring legendary status on the basis of his match winning knocks aggressive approach, successful captaincy and super fitness. He is an inspirational player and leader and an ideal role model for the young up coming players. His work out routine is a combination of weights ,cardio exercises, on the spot jogging, skipping and above all a very strict diet plan.

Rohit Sharma, on the lighter side, stated that “Household chores have become an integral part of his fitness routine
during lockdown”.

PV Sindhu the star badminton player of our country and a silver medalist in the Rio Olympics, follows meditation, an innovative training regimen and a fitness app issued by her trainer Srikant, it includes routines like using terra bands, weight jackets and dumb bells. Her father who himself is an ex India volleyball player of repute himself, is helping her with her routines at home.

The players know It is time to remain focused, fit and positive. So that when sports activity re starts, they are ready and match fit to bring laurels for the country.
