These cricketers like Brian Lara, Ricky Ponting Adam Gilchrist, Yuvraj Singh were face to face for the Bushfire Bash. In this match played in Melbourne, Brian Lara and Ricky Ponting showed that they still have the same life in their bats. Shane Watson and Andrew Symonds also looked older. A charity match was played in Melbourne on Sunday between the legendary cricketers from around the world, which was named Bushfire Cricket Bash. In this match, there was a fight between Ponting XI and Gilchrist XI. Ponting XI batting first in this match. He scored 104 runs for 5 wickets in the scheduled game of 10 overs.


Brian Lara scored the most 30 runs for Ponting XI. He scored 3 fours and 2 sixes in his 11-ball innings. He returned to the pavilion (retired out) after the ninth over. Captain Ricky Ponting scored 26 off 14 balls and Matthew Hayden scored 16 off 14 balls. Luke Hodge scored 11 off 4 balls and Justin Langer scored 6 runs in 4 balls. For Gilchrist XI, Yuvraj Singh, Courtney Walsh and Andrew Symonds took one wicket each.

In reply to Ponting’s XI, Shane Watson and Andrew Symonds showed a stormy game from Gilchrist XI for the innings. Watson hit 30 off 9 balls, which included 2 fours and 3 sixes. Symonds scored 29 runs in 13 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. Adam Gilchrist hit 17 off 11 balls. When Symonds was in the crease, it seemed that Gilchrist XI could have won the match. At that time Gilli’s team was to score 21 runs in 12 balls. But Symonds retired to give batting opportunities to other players.


Four runs scored in the ninth over. After this, Gilchrist XI needed 17 runs to win in the 10th i.e. the last over. Daniel Christian scored 7 runs off the first five balls of this over.
