Bangladesh wrote history on Sunday in New Delhi against India beating the home side by 7 wickets in the first T20I of the series.
Batting first India lost a couple of early wickets after Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul departed. Shikhar Dhawan tried to hold the innings from one end but he too was undone through a runout.
India were struggling at 120/6 when Krunal Pandya and Washington Sundar produced a late surge. Krunal struck an 8-ball 15* while Sundar hipped in with 14* off 5 to take India’s total to 148/6 in 20 overs.
In reply, Deepak Chahar struck early and removed Liton Das for 7. Mohammad Naim and Soumya Sarkar then steadied the ship for the visitors. Mushfiqur Rahim who came in at number 4 top-scored with 60* off 43 to take his side home.
