Former BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya’s son Avishek has become the new president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). Avishesk is the youngest president to hold the post at the age of 38.

While Avishesk is at the helm, former India captain and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly’s brother Snehasish is the new joint secretary. Snehashish is a former Bengal player.

Avishek will have a tenure of 22 months before going for a cooling-off period in November next year.

“Right from my childhood, I always heard my father saying ‘Eden is a temple of worship’. That sentiment will run with me always,” Avishek said in his first address as CAB president.
