An inhuman act took place in Kerala after a pregnant elephant was killed on Monday. The elephant was lost her life after eating a pineapple stuffed with crackers.
The incident came out in public after the Forest official took to social media and posted the details. Mohan Krishnan wrote on Facebook, “She trusted everyone. When the pineapple she ate exploded, she must have been shocked not thinking about herself, but about the child, she was going to give birth to in 18 to 20 months.”
The India skipper Virat Kohli expressed sorrow on the incident.
Appalled to hear about what happened in Kerala. Let's treat our animals with love and bring an end to these cowardly acts. pic.twitter.com/3oIVZASpag— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) June 3, 2020
The Indian team is currently on a break after the outbreak of Coronavirus. They toured New Zealand earlier this year where they won the T20Is but lost ODIs and Tests.
They were later slated to play a bilateral tie against South Africa at home but the first match was washed away due to rain while the other two were canceled amid the COVID-19 outburst.
The world has come to a standstill after the pandemic. The Indian Premier League (IPL) was also postponed for an indefinite time earlier by the BCCI.
