Ravi Shastri, the former head coach of the Indian cricket team, has given a big statement regarding the ICC World Cup 2019. He believes that either Ambati Rayudu or Shreyas Iyer should have been included in Team India for this World Cup, so that the problem of the fourth batting order could have ended.
Shastri said, “I had no hand in team selection, but I was not happy about the selection of three wicketkeepers in the World Cup squad. Ambati Rayudu or Shreyas Iyer should have been selected in the team.
He further said, “What was the logic of selecting all three Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik in the same team, but I never put my leg in the work of the selectors. I used to speak only when my opinion was sought.”
