Former skipper MS Dhoni retired from international cricket on Saturday. With him all-rounder Suresh Raina also bid adieu from international cricket.
Raina had been out of the team for some time. The left-handed batsman was a part of the Indian team that lifted the World Cup in 2011 under Dhoni’s captaincy.
Raina played a total of 226 ODIs for India and scored over 5000 runs at an average of 35.3. He played an important role in India’s winning triumph in World cup 2011.
In 78 T20Is, the left-handed batsman notched up 1605 runs at a strike rate of 134.9.
He became the first Indian batsman to score hundreds for India in all three formats.
