The forthcoming 15th edition of the Indian Premier League will witness some of the biggest stars of the cricket fraternity coming together to enlighten the mega tournament of the year. Out of 590 cricketers who have registered for the mega auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players whereas 7 belong to Associate Nations.
Talking about the previous IPL 2021 auction, it was surprising to see several players gettinghuge money for their services for just one season.However, this time around, with the auction being extended to 10 IPL teams, it will get even more fascinating. Let us have a look at some of the players who might fetch a huge amount in the upcoming mega auctions.

1)David Warner
Australian batsman David Warner has been a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise for several years. However, in the 14th edition of the league things didn’t look good between Warner and the Hyderabad based franchise. David Warner was sacked from the captaincy after a few poor games and was also dropped from the playing 11because of his poor form.

Talking about David Warner’s performance in the Indian Premier League, he has been sensational with 5449 runs from 150 IPL matches.With two new IPL teams joining this year, it will be interesting to see which team will go for the Australian cricketer. The 35-year-old Aussie star is most likely to fetch huge in terms of money as he has all the attributes of becoming the most expensive player of the IPL 2022 mega Auction

2)Ishan Kishan
Former Mumbai Indians wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan is anticipated to be one the most expensive picks in forthcoming IPL 2022 Auction. The 23-year-old has been an exceptional player for Mumbai Indians and was also expected to be retained by the franchise. However, the 5-time IPL winners opted to go with Suryakumar Yadav.The young batsman is a prolific hitter and a brilliant wicketkeeper which makes him a top contender for the most expensive cricketer in the upcoming auction. It was definitely a shock for the DC fans when the franchise did not retain their ace bowler Kagiso Rabada. The Proteas seamer was the orange cap winner back in IPL 2020. He also finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in IPL 2019. Kagiso Rabada has scalped 76 wickets at an economy rate of 8.21 in the Indian Premier League so far. The pacer has also picked up 49 wickets in 40 T20I matches.

4)Shreyas Iyer
The 26-year-old Mumbai batsman, Shreyas Iyer, has been brilliant in the shortest format of the game. The youngster has beenbrilliant both with his batting and his leadership skills in the IPL. Thus, he could be a hot pick for either of the two new IPL franchises, or he could even find a spot in one of the existing teams looking for a new captain. 5)Harshal Patel
Former Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder Harshal Patel is expected to be paid well in this year’s mega auction.
