Ishan Kishan (Rs 15.25 cr)
At no 1 in this list is Indian batsman Ishan Kishan. The 23 year old was the most expensive acquisition in the IPL 2022 auction. The Mumbai franchise retained Kishan for a whopping Rs 15.25 crore in the IPL auction this year. Kishan endured a disappointing season with MI in IPL 2021. However, Mumbai have shown faith and believe that Kishan will have a terrific season with the bat for MI in IPL 2022.
Deepak Chahar (Rs 14 cr)
At no 2 in this list is Indian bowler Deepak Chahar. Chahar was the second most expensive player in the IPL 2022 auction. The Indian bowler was retained by Chennai for a whopping Rs 14 crore. Deepak Chahar was one of CSK’s most crucial players in the IPL last season. In 15 matches in the IPL 2021 season, Chahar scalped an impressive 14 wickets in total for CSK. Chahar will be eager to prove his worth in the IPL this season.
Shreyas Iyer (Rs 12.25 cr)
At no 3 in this list is Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer. Iyer was part of the Delhi franchise in the IPL last season. However, IPL 2021 runners up KKR acquired Iyer for a massive Rs 12.25 crore in the IPL auction this year. Iyer is one of the most gifted Indian batsmen in the IPL and KKR will rely on him to deliver in the IPL this year.
Liam Livingstone (Rs 11.50 cr)
At no 4 in this list is England all rounder Liam Livingstone. The 28 year old was the most expensive overseas cricketer in the IPL auction this year. The Punjab franchise acquired Livingstone from Rajasthan at a whopping amount of Rs 11.5 crore. The former RR cricketer has played only 5 matches in his IPL career, scoring 42 runs in total. Regardless, Punjab fans will back Livingstone to score plenty of runs in the IPL this year.
Shardul Thakur (Rs 10.75 cr)
At no 5 in this list is Indian cricketer Shardul Thakur. The 30 year bowler was associated with reigning IPL champions CSK last season. However, Delhi acquired Thakur for a whopping Rs 10.75 crore. In 61 matches in his IPL career, Thakur has scalped an impressive 67 wickets in total. The 30 year old also boasts an impressive bowling economy of 6.62 so far in his IPL career. Thakur has been in decent form in the international format with India, and is expected to guide Delhi to their 1st ever IPL title.
