The fans have witnessed a number of nail-biting encounters in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and something similar happened during the final of the 2019 edition where the Mumbai Indians (MI) were eventually crowned champions for the fourth time.

MI defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final by a whisker to clinch the title. CSK were chasing 149 in 20 overs and were restricted to 148/7 to lose the game and the tournament by just one run.

Talking about the same, CSK leg-spinner Imran Tahir has said that the team could have won that match easily. “It was heart-breaking as we won almost every game, You stay with your family for six to eight weeks and then you lose by one run,” Imran Tahir told Anis Sajan on his Instagram Live chat show, according to Crictracker.

“At the end of the day, it’s only a run, but you still come second,” Imran Tahir added.

CSK though had won the IPL thrice earlier while MI is presently the most successful IPL team with four title to their name. Kolkata Knight Riders has lifted the trophy twice while Rajasthan Royals, Deccan Chargers and Sunrisers Hyderabad have won it once each.

The IPL 2020 is scheduled to take place in UAE.
