Former India skipper MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on Saturday. Dhoni last played for India in the semi-final of the World Cup 2019 and had been out of action since then. India had lost that match and bowed out of the tournament.
Former India batsman has now made a prediction of the venue of Dhoni’s farewell match. “I think MS Dhoni’s farewell game will be whenever he plays his last match for CSK. I think the farewell match will be at the Chepauk.’
Dhoni has led CSK right from the beginning. Though the franchise was banned for two years but they still have lifted the IPL trophy thrice and are the second most successful team in the cash-rich league.
The IPL 2020 is scheduled to take place in UAE. This would be the third time when IPL would be held outside India.
It was first held in South Africa in the year 2009 while the first half of the tournament in 2014 was held in UAE. Earlier, Dhoni underwent the test for COVID-19 and his reports came out to be negative.
