The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially said that the IPL and the chinese sponsor VIVO are not aligning for this year’s edition.

The company was in talks with the BCCI for an “amicable separation” amid rising Sino-India diplomatic tensions.

The BCCI has been facing a lot of heat on social media ever since they have announced Chinese company VIVO to continue as sponsors for the IPL 2020.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and vivo Mobile India Pvt Ltd have decided to suspend their partnership for Indian Premier League in 2020,” the official release from BCCI stated.
