The Rajasthan Royals side is set to release a documentary based on the 2019 IPL campaign. The documentary will come out on August 1. It will be available in a three-part series called “Inside Story” which will be available on Jio platforms and will include interviews and “never-before-seen footage” from the Royals camp.
It will be featuring the star players like Ben Stokes, Steve Smtih and Sanju Samson. Rajasthan Royals COO Jake Lush McCrum said, “We are delighted to launch this documentary to entertain both Royals fans and sports lovers around the world during this challenging time. We hope this will increase the excitement and anticipation of the 800 million IPL fans.”
The Indian Premier League is slated to take place in UAE this year and would begin from September 19. The players will have to reach UAE 25 days prior to the start of the league while they will also go under 14-day quarantine before they can step on the field.
It was earlier slated to begin at the end of March but was postponed. Mumbai Indians were to host Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede stadium.
MI is the most successful team in the IPL as it has lifted the trophy four times while CSK has won it thrice. Apart from the Kolkata Knight Riders has been crowned as the winner twice while Rajasthan Royals, Deccan Chargers, and Sunrisers Hyderabad have won it once.
This won’t be the first time when IPL would be taking place outside the country. In 2009, the IPL was shifted to South Africa while in 2014, the first half of the tournament took place in UAE because of the general elections.
