Earlier, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings were slated to play the first match in Mumbai. The new schedule is waited to come.

MI is the most successful team in the IPL having won the trophy four times while CSK has won it thrice, Kolkata Knight Riders twice, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals once.
