Mumbai Indians has been the most successful team in the IPL history after clinching the title four times. They would now quest for the fifth time when they lock horns with Delhi Capitals on Tuesday. Here’s a look at how MI have made it to the final.
Mumbai began the season with the defeat against Chennai Super Kings in the first match but squared the ratio of against KKR. They then lost against RCB in an exciting encounter that went into the Super Over.
Rohit Sharma’s troops were back in form with five straight wins against KXIP, SRH, RR, DC and KKR respectively.
But it seemed as if Mumbai were not able to handle the pressure in the Super Over. They then suffered a defeat at the hands of KXIP after losing the match in the second Super Over.
MI then equalised the equation with CSK and defeated them in the second encounter of the season while lost to RR, won against RCB, DC respectively.
They then faced defeat against SRH but this didn’t really hinder their chances of making it to the playoffs. MI faced DC in the first play off and made it through to the finals.
They will now take on DC in the summit clash.
