Former India captain MS Dhoni is set to return to action. Dhoni will begin his training at the M A Chidambaram Stadium with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side. The right-handed batsman will be training with the likes of Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu.
“Dhoni will train at the M A Chidambaram stadium from March 2. He will practice with players who are available at that time,” CSK CEO K S Viswanathan told the media.
The CSK captain has been out of action since India’s defeat against New Zealand in the World Cup 2019. He was recently left out of the list of centrally contarcted players by the BCCI as well.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 is scheduled to begin from March 29 with CSK facing defending champions Mumbai Indians at Wankhede stadium.
Chennai Super Kings have lifted the trophy three times. They even picked some big players in the auctions as well. Leg-spinner Piyush Chawla and Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood made a cut into the side while England’s left-arm medium pacer Sam Curran and young spinner R Sai Kishore.
