Former India and current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has left the training camp in Chennai after the Indian Premier League (IPL) was suspended till April 15 amid Coronavirus outbreak.

Dhoni was earlier seen practicing at the Chepauk stadium with the Chennai franchise for the IPL.

“It has become your home, sir!’ Keep whistling, as #Thala Dhoni bids a short adieu to #AnbuDen,” Chennai Super Kings wrote on Twitter.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) postponed the IPL till April 15. The co-owners of the IPL franchises and the BCCI met in Mumbai on Saturday to discuss the various possibilities regarding the cash-rich league after the government imposed restrictions on travel and the three states refused to host the matches.

IPL was originally scheduled to begin from March 29 when Mumbai Indians would have locked horns with Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium.

The Corona Virus outburst has been rapidly increasing. After China, Italy became the second country that has been locked down. Apart from Italy, Spain, Germany, US, UK, Iran, South Korea and some more countries have been suffering from the outburst.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared COVID-19 disease to be a pandemic.

Dhoni was last seen in action during the World Cup 2019 where India lost to New Zealand in the semi-final. He has been out of the side since then and was even omitted from the list of the BCCI contracted players.
