MS Dhoni has been a backbone for Chennai Super Kings. He is the only captain to defend back to back titles in IPL history. Under his captaincy, CSK won the title in 2010 and 2011. After the 2-year suspension, MS Dhoni led side won the title in 2018.
The former Indian captain Dhoni was looking in great touch during CSK training camp. The 13th edition of IPL was supposed to start from 29th March, but due to coronavirus pandemic, it has been postponed.
“His preparations were different this time. I have played with him over the years with national side and IPL, but it was different this time. So I just hope that matches can start quickly, then everyone can see Live how well he is prepared and see what I saw myself in the two months of camp that we had,” he added.
This was the first time that the people were seeing MS Dhoni in action after featuring for Team India during a narrow loss in the Semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup played in England and New Zealand. He could not finish the job which resulted in a heart-breaking loss.
Chennai Super Kings bought some top-quality Indian players like Ambati Rayudu, Murali Vijay, Jadeja in the squad for 2018 IPL. “The best thing was Rayudu, me, Mahi Bhai and Murali Vijay were batting in a group and Mahi bhai batted for long hours when he is in Chennai, for about 2 to 4 hours.
Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni has been a part of the CSK franchise since the start of IPL in 2008. CSK is the most successful team in IPL history who have reached for the playoff stage in every edition of the tournament. The fans would be looking to see the greatest Indian captain MS Dhoni flourish in Yellow Jersey as a captain and a batsman.
In the 2019 edition, CSK lost one of the greatest finals in IPL history to Mumbai Indians by just 1 run. The 2020 edition is likely to be held either in UAE or Sri Lanka as per reports. If the T20 World Cup to be held in October- November, then BCCI can organize the prestigious tournament.
