Due to the lockdown, more cricketers are still spending at home. Even though the IPL to be held next month for Indian cricketers has brought some relief, but still, no activity related to cricket has started. Similarly, Indian cricketer, Mandeep Singh has taken advantage of the lockdown fiercely.
Mandeep worked on his body during this lockdown and achieved good results. Mandeep Singh, the batsman of Kings XI Punjab, also shared his diet secret by putting a photo of his Six Pack Ab on Instagram. During this time, Mandeep said to give preference to desi food.
Mandeep wrote, “I know many cricketers or people who sacrifice milk, wheat etc. for a good body. I just wanted my experience. During the last 4 months during the lockdown, I have consumed desi cow milk, desi ghee, mashing and whole wheat almost daily. I do not take any supplements, only protein powder daily. I am a non-veg lover, but during the last few months, I have been eating non-veg only once a week. I personally believe that my body is in the best shape for some time. I eat ‘tat mi’ 2-3 times a week, especially when I crave them because it is very important to have a good place for our brains. As much as a healthy body is necessary, a healthy brain is also important. And no matter which diary you follow, you need hard training. I am trying to follow a diet that will not only make me strong but keep me strong like eating local food.) Think Local Eat Global.”

I know a lot of cricketers or people who give up milk, wheat etc for a good body. I just wanted to tell my experience. In the past 4 months during lockdown, almost everyday I have had desi cow milk, desi ghee, makhan and whole-wheat but moderation is imp. I don’t take any supplements, only protein powder daily. I’m a non veg lover, but during these past few months I’ve only been eating non-veg once a week. I personally believe that my body is in the best shape it’s been in for a while. I eat “cheat meals” 2-3 times a week especially when I crave them because it’s so important for our minds to be in a good space. As much as a healthy body is important, a healthy mind is also vital. And no matter what diet you follow, you have to train hard. I have been trying to follow a diet that won’t just make me look strong, but will make me strong from within like eating local food. #eatlocalthinkglobal #desi ????????
Captain KL Rahul also praised the photo of Mandeep, budding captain KL Rahul of Kings XI Punjab also reduced. He wrote on the post- Super Bro. Apart from this, other cricketers also did less.
Let me tell you that Mandeep Singh is one of the cricketers who achieved highs due to his performance in IPL. For the first time in 2010, Mandeep got a break in the IPL but that year he could play only three matches.
Gradually, his confidence in the team management started increasing. He performed brilliantly in the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
In particular, he had 432 runs in 16 matches of 2012. Mandeep stayed with RCB for a long time but is now with Kings XI Punjab.
