Rajasthan Royals had a perfect turn around in the game against Kings XI Punjab after they chased down a target of 224 runs by 4 wickets to set a new record. Chasing a mammoth socore of 224, RR rode on an emphatic display of batting from Rahul Tewatia who smacked a 31-ball 53 that included 7 sixes.

Tewatia took on Sheldon Cottrell and hammered him for 30 runs in one over. He though departed on the delivery of the 19th over but did play a massive role RR’s victory.

Apart from Tewatia, captain Steve Smith showed his class as he notched up 50 off 27 while Sanju Samson scored 85 from just 42 balls.

Mohammed Shami scalped a three-for for KXIP.

Earlier, Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul hammered the Royals’ bowling attack all around the park. Thw two compiled a partnership of 183 runs for the first wicket before captain Mayank departed.

Mayank’s lethal batting display helped KXIP post 223/2 in 20 overs. He scored 106. Captain KL Rahul too continued his good form and scored 69 for the side while Nicholas Pooran also chipped in with 25* off just 8 deliveries.
