The Indian Premier League (IPL) fans would take a sigh of relief as the cash-rich tournament might take place between September and November.

The IPL was earlier slated to begin in March-end but was later postponed till Coronavirus outburst and then for an indefinite time.

“I have my doubts that T20 WC will be held this year. About IPL, we cannot think of just now. It will depend on Indian conditions and the window is only during this T20 WC which is October-November,” Gaekwad told ‘PTI-Bhasha’.

India had only toured New Zealand this year where they won the T20I series but lost the ODIs and Tests. They were later scheduled to play a three-match ODI series against South Africa at home but the first match was washed away while the other two were canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The World T20 was also scheduled to take place in Australia later this year but with the current situation, it is likely to get postponed.

Though, the cricketers have started with their practice and workout regimes.
