The Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Chinese sponsors VIVO parted ways amid the tension between the two countries at the LAC.

With VIVO out of the picture, we would soon see a new title sponsor for the cash-rich league. Amazon is the front-runner as per some reports while Jio, and soft drink giant Coca Cola are also in the race. Byjus who is Team india’s jersey sponsor is also in the consideration.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to be seeking around 250 to 300 crores only as original deal of Rs 440 crores per.year with Vivo.

The board had earlier officially said that the IPL and the chinese sponsor VIVO are not aligning for this year’s edition. The company was in talks with the BCCI for an “amicable separation” amid rising Sino-India diplomatic tensions.

The BCCI has been facing a lot of heat on social media ever since they have announced Chinese company VIVO to continue as sponsors for the IPL 2020.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Vivo Mobile India Pvt Ltd have decided to suspend their partnership for Indian Premier League in 2020,” the official release from BCCI stated.
