Virat Kohli opens up about being sacked as the ODI skipper.

“I was contacted one-and-a-half hour before the Test team was selected. There was no prior communication. The chief selector discussed the Test team. And in the end, I was told that I won’t be the captain and I said it’s fine. After the meeting we had a brief chat and that’s it. Reasons? Obviously we haven’t won ICC tournament. I understand the logic behind why they took that decision. When I left T20 captaincy, I approached BCCI first about my decision and they accepted without any hesitancy without asking me to stay. I was always clear about my communication,”he said in a press conference.

“Rohit is a very able captain and we have seen it in the IPL as well as for India. Dravid is also very valuable. Both of them will have my absolute support. here is no problem between me and Rohit. I have been clarifying since the last two and a half years or so. I’m really tired,” he added.
