On Monday, ahead of the Cape Town Test against South Africa, Indian Test team captain Virat Kohli addressed the media. During this, Virat gave a befitting reply to the critics regarding his form. Actually, Kohli has not played any big innings in Test cricket for a long time, due to which he remains the target of critics continuously.

33-year-old King Kohli said on the question on his batting form, “This is not the first time that my batting is being talked about. I have come across this question many times in my career. I don’t judge myself on the basis of external lenses.”

He added, “I take a lot of pride in what I have performed for the team so far. In the last few years, I have been with the team in the best moments. In such a situation, I feel that I do not need to prove anything to anyone.

Apart from this, regarding Rishabh Pant’s poor shot selection in the last Test, Kohli said, “Everyone is with him, he himself also understands that there should be no mistake and the batsman himself can improve it. We hope Rishabh will definitely work on his mistakes.”
