England batsman Joe Denly was ruled out of the Royal London series against Ireland after suffering backache during training and will be replaced by Liam Livingstone of Lancashire.

The England and Wales Cricket Board announced on Friday that Livingstone will now replace 34-year-old Denali in the remaining two ODIs.

According to the statement of the board – Joe Denly will not be able to play in the Royal London Series against Ireland after back pain in training on Wednesday. Liam Livingstone of Lancashire has been replaced in the 14-man England ODI squad in place of Kent’s batsman.

Livingstone has represented England in two T20s and will make his ODI debut if he is selected in the playing XI for the last two ODIs.

England won by six wickets in the first ODI of the 3-match series being played in a bio-safe environment. The second ODI will be played on Saturday and the third on Tuesday.
