England all-rounder Ben Stokes once again showed his ability during the second Test against West Indies in Manchester where his all-round performance against the Caribbean team helped the home side to level the series.
Former India opener Gautam Gambhir has put his weight behind Stokes and said that there is no better all-rounder in the world than him. “You can’t compare anyone in India at the moment with Ben Stokes. Absolutely not, because Ben Stokes is in his own league,” Gambhir said.
Stokes scored 176 in the first innings of the seocnd match and then notched up a brisk 57-ball 78* to put his team in front. The right-arm bowler also scalped three wickets in the match helping his side to win the match by 113 runs and square the series.
In the third and deciding game, England took a massive first-innings lead and eventually handed a target of 399 runs to the West Indies side.
The live cricket returned back with the bilateral series between England and West Indies. England will now play an ODI series against Ireland and will later face Pakistan in Test and T20I series respectively.
The World T20 has been postponed while the IPL is slated to take place in September in UAE.
