England fast bowler Joffra Archer was fined and given an official warning for violating the strict segregation protocol imposed for the restoration of international cricket.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement that the sentence was given after a disciplinary hearing on Friday evening.
The Barbados-born Archer had violated the Bio-Safe Protocol by going home after the first Test against the West Indies. He then apologized for doing so.
He was then dropped from the squad for the second Test against West Indies starting on Thursday and is on a five-day separation.
He will have to undergo two Covid-19 probes and will only be able to join the rest of the team on Tuesday only when he comes back negative.
