England all-rounder Ben Stokes’s 176 and an unbeaten 78 not out helped West Indies win the second Test against the West Indies. On this, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan said that India needs similar match-winning all-rounders.
This was not liked by former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and he asked Pathan that we do not have an all-rounder?
Pathan wrote in the tweet, “If the Indian team has a match-winning player like Ben Stokes, then it will be invincible anywhere in the world.”
On this, Yuvraj replying, Yuvi said, ‘Are you saying that we do not have an all-rounder who is also a match-winner? After this Pathan tweeted another and wrote, “Bhai Yuvraj Singh is retired.”
However, even after this, Yuvraj replied to Pathan in a tweet and wrote, “I knew that a similar answer is going to be received. With this, Yuvi praised Pathan and said that brother, you too were nothing less.”
It is to be noted that after losing to the West Indies in the first match, England made a comeback and won the second Test by 113 runs and returned to the series and drew 1-1.
Talking about the second Test match, England declared 469 for 9 wickets in their first innings, while the Windies team could score 287 runs in the first innings.
England declared the second innings by 129 runs for 3 wickets on the fifth day and the visiting team got a target of 312 runs. The Windies team managed only 198 runs in the second innings on the fifth and final day and lost the match.
