The third and deciding Test between England and West Indies will begin from Friday in Manchester. Both the sides will wear red in honour of former England captain Andrew Strauss’s late wife Ruth.
Ruth was detected with a rare lung cancer. The disease affects non-smokers. The Ruth Strauss Foundationw as setup after her death the move is to raise funds for the same.
“It goes without saying it’s going to be different this year, the world is in a different place and it’s obviously not going to feel quite the same as it did last year but it will hopefully be just as impactful,” said Andrew Strauss.
Ruth passed away in December 2018 at 46.
The two sides would be battling out for the series as it is leveled at 1-1. England lost the first match but bounced back pretty well in the second.
The home side has got more firepower as Jofra Archer and James Anderson are back in the squad along side Stuart Broad. Ben Stokes led the team in the first Test in Joe Root’s absence.
West Indies are also expected to make few changes in the playing XI.
