The England cricket team should definitely tour Pakistan if the conditions allow said Ian Watmore, who took over as chairman of England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Tuesday.
Pakistan toured England for a three-match Test and three-match T20I series recently while the English team hasn’t visited the nation since 2005-06 citing security reasons.
“It would be brilliant for us and for the game there to get cricket back on,” Watmore was quoted as saying by ‘The BBC’.
“With Pakistan back hosting cricket we should definitely go and tour there if it’s at all safe to do so.”
England won the Test series 1-0 while the T20I series ended in a 1-1 draw. Pakistan leveled the three-match series against England after beating the hosts by 5 wickets in the third and final T20I in Manchester.
Chasing a total of 191, England were restricted to 185/8 in the allotted 20 overs. Earlier, England after winning the toss put Pakistan into bat.
The first match of the series had been called-off due to rain while England won the second encounter earlier.
