Ramiz Raja said that Babar Azam was facing the ball with an open shoulder which would stop him from playing his drives.

Ramiz Raja who has been former captain of Pakistan says that prolific run scorer Babar Azam has some drawbacks in his game. He should be known as a great player to amend. He scored 69 runs on the first day of the first test against England and also performed an unbeaten 96 runs stand with Shan Masood.

When Babar was facing the ball with the shoulder open then it means that one head position is not right and the head is not locked in with the shoulder. When one opens oneself in that manner facing the outswinger becomes problematic. It means that his drives will stop connecting.

Ramiz felt that the Babar struggled. Babar was also hesitant and nervous. However Babar has four hundreds and three half centuries in his last eight Test innings.

Ramiz appreciated left handed Shan Masood and said that Azahar Ali was struggling due to overthinking in his capacity as both a batsman and the leader of the side.

He is over analyzing all parameters such as batting or captaincy. He needs to be more relaxed. It is necessary to switch on and off a captain. When the action is running you have to be turned on but when the action is stopped you have to take some time. He over pressures himself.

Test captain of Pakistan fell without any good achievement. Pakistan took two wickets on 43 runs before Shan and Babar steadied the innings.

For the first time Pakistan is playing a test match since February while England has come into this series to overcome West Indies recently.
