England took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series after winning the second match by 6 wickets. Chasing a stiff target of 158, England went over the line with one over to spare. Jos Buttler who opened the innings remained unbeaten at 77 and finished off the game with a maximum for his side.
The home side lost an early wicket in the form of Jonny Bairstow who was out hit wicket for 9 but Dawid Malan and Buttler steadied the ship for them.
England then lost few wickets quickly and needed 18 off the last two overs when Moeen Ali took the situation in his own hands and struck 11 runs in three balls.
Earlier, Australia scored 157/7 in 20 overs. Aaron Finch scored 40 off 33 while Marcus Stoinis struck 26-ball 35. For England, Chris Jordan scalped a couple of wickets while Jofra Archer, Mark Wood and Adil Rashid picked one wicket each.
