The Indian cricket team suffered a loss in the first ODI on New Zealand tour. The Indian team also lost by scoring 347 runs in this match played on Wednesday. After this, questions are being raised about Indian playing XI. Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh also said that the Indian team needs a change in their playing XI. The second ODI between India and New Zealand is to be played on Saturday.
A three-match ODI series is being played between New Zealand and India. India has lost 0-1 in the series after losing the first match. Now India can win the series only if they name the remaining two matches to their name. After the loss in the first match in Hamilton, Bhajji suggested India change the playing eleven. Bhajji is currently doing commentary for Star Sports.
Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said, “I want to see both wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal play together in the next match.” Harbhajan also advised Kedar Jadhav to be dropped from the playing XI. Jadhav scored 26 off 15 balls in the first ODI match.
Harbhajan Singh said, ‘New Zealand team knows fast bowlers to play well. When the Kiwi cricketers are in rhythm, the condition of any fast bowling can worsen. But when it comes to spin bowling, they have difficulty. You can take wickets in the middle overs. So I would like the Indian team to play with both wrist spinners. If necessary, an additional wrist spinner can be included in the team in place of Kedar Jadhav.
