Mayank Agarwal, the new Indian top-order batsman is in talks for his great knock of 215 against South Africa in the ongoing Test match in Vishakapatnam. He joined the list of the Indian Batsmen who converted their maiden Test hundred into a 200-plus score.

1. Dilip Sardesai

Dilip Sardesai was the first Indian cricketer who scored 200 not out against New Zealand in 1965 in Mumbai (Bs). In 1965, he opened and scored 200 not out against New Zealand, which not only saved India from a big defeat. Dilip Sardesai is also known as Indian cricket’s ‘renaissance man’, he was the first Indian to score a double century overseas.
2. Vinod Kambli

The second was Vinod Kambli who played a knock of 224 against England in 1993 against England in Mumbai (Ws). Kambli made his Test debut in 1993 against England, against whom he hit his maiden double-hundred, in just his second Test match. He followed it up with another double-hundred against Zimbabwe in the next match, before scoring a hundred against Sri Lanka to make history by becoming the only cricket to score 100+ in three innings against three different opponents. Although he had a bright start to his Test career, Kambli considered for Tests after 1995, meaning he had only 17 Tests against his name.
3. Karun Nair

And third, was Karun Nair who converted his maiden Test century into triple hundred against England in Chennai in 2016 and was not out on the score of 303. He became only the second Indian after Virender Sehwag to score a triple century in Tests as Nair top-scored with an unbeaten 303 in India’s highest-ever innings total.
4. Mayank Agarwal

The fourth batsman in the recent top-order batsman Mayank Agarwal who converted his maiden Test Century into double figures of 215 against South Africa in the ongoing Test in Vishakapatnam.
