St Lucia Zouks pulled off a stunning win against barbados Tridents after thye managed to defend a total of 92 in Trinidad on Sunday.
Batting first, Zouks were bundled out for a mere 92 Hayden Walsh picked up three wickets and Reifer scalped a couple for Tridents. Najibullah top-scored for Zouks with 22.
In reply, the Barbados side had decent start to the chase as openers Johnson Charles and Shai Hope put together 32 runs for the first wicket. But Kesrick Williams got rid off Hope to give St Lucia the first breakthrough.
Hope’s wicket certainly changed the course of the game and Barbados lost momentum from there on. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were restricted to 89/7 in 20 overs eventually.
Williams and Javelle Glenn picked up two wickets each while Mohammad Nabi, Zahir Khan and Roston Chase scalped one wicket apiece.
