Chetan Sharma bagged a hattrick in World Cup 2019.

Former India fast bowler Chetan Sharma etched his name in record books after scalping the first-ever hattrick in World Cup history in 1987.

Sharma cleaned up Ken Rutherford, Ian Smith and Ewen Chatfield with the last three balls of his sixth over.

New Zealand who were batting first in Nagpur managed to score 221/9 in 50 overs. Dipak Pate top-scored with 40 while opener John Wright notched up 35.

In reply, India rode on Sunil Gavaskar’s brisk 103* off 88 to win the match by 9 wickets and in 32.1 overs. K Srikkanth scored 75 while Mohammad azharudding remained unbeaten at 41.
