Something happened in New Zealand’s domestic T20 league Super Smash tournament which shocked the entire cricket world. In fact, Michael Bracewell, the captain of the Wellington Firebirds team in the T20 League Super Smash, rocked with his batting. During the match against Central District on Saturday, Bracewell scored an unbeaten 141 off 65 balls, hitting 11 sixes and 11 fours in his innings.

On the basis of his innings, the team of Firebirds was successful in winning the match. In fact, Central District had scored a huge score of 228 runs in 20 overs. In response to which 5 wickets of the Firebirds team fell for only 43 runs. But after this Bracewell took the storm with his batting and gave the team victory with one ball remaining. Firebirds team managed to win this match by 2 wickets. Bracewell completed his century in just 46 balls.

In fact, Bracewell hit 11 fours and 11 sixes in his innings. That is, he scored 110 runs from the boundary in 22 balls in his innings, in which 44 from fours and 66 from sixes. Fans are constantly commenting on Bracewell’s innings on social media and are hoping that this batsman will soon enter the Kiwi team.

Bracewell made a special record by playing an unbeaten innings of 141 runs. Now Michael Bracewell has become the batsman to play the biggest innings as a captain while chasing the target in T20 cricket. By doing this he has broken the record of Babar Azam of Pakistan. Babar played an innings of 122 runs while chasing the target in the T20 match against South Africa in the year 2021. Apart from this, the innings of 141 runs played by Bracewell, is the third highest innings played while chasing. Earlier in the year 2014, Luke Wright scored an unbeaten 153 while chasing runs. Apart from this, in 2015, Chris Gayle has also played an unbeaten innings of 151 runs in T20 in order to chase the target.

The innings of 141 runs played by Michael Bracewall is the third highest innings played by a New Zealand player in T20. Bandon McCullum scored 158 runs in 73 balls while playing for KKR against RCB in IPL 2008, while in T20 Blast in 2015, McCullum scored 158 runs in 64 balls.
