The selection committee has announced the changes made to the squad. While Virat Kohli will return home after the first Test in Adelaide, Rohit Sharma has been named in the Test squad.
Spinner Varun Chakraborty who was named earlier in the T20I squad has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury while T. Natarajan who was the net bowler for the tour has now been named in the squad.
The Selection Committee has added Sanju Samson as an additional wicket-keeper to India’s ODI squad. Ishant has been undergoing his rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Once he fully recovers and gains sufficient match fitness, he will be added to India’s Test squad.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti will not be able to travel to Australia as he is still working with the medical team on his bowling workload management.
